i love it when the power goes out. i was sitting at my desk, making a mix tape, and everything just went silent. though it threw off my mix- tape schedule immensely, i love that silence. and i love all the hustle and bustle that goes on when the power is out. candles and flashlights and not opening the refrigerator. its really like being transported back in time. except i could still use the laptop and my cell phone. oh well...

however, i took a shower with just candles to light the room, and it was so cool. the flame cast this incredible shadow through my horizontally- striped shower door onto the striped tile..i wish i could have taken a picture. i always think of the best things to take pictures of in the shower. the shower rocks!!
