prom.

i cant even believe im still awake and that this whole day has been only one day. tis all blending together into one huge night of magic, mystery, and cherry trident. well, not exactly. there were really some amazing moments in there though. after dinner me and andy decided to take the elevator down to the bottom level. we thought we were alone in the house-sized elevator, but at the last minute this random old guy slipped inside. he asked us what we were doing (dressed up). he then told us what a great couple we made, said something along the lines of 'good job' to andy, and told us how we should stay together for a very long time. its funny how he knew that so soon after meeting us. anyhow, he was going to a floor below us and he said 'you ride down with me.' which was a little freaky. but as we were getting out he said, 'give her a hug' so we hugged, and then he was like, 'ohhh, ok now a kiss.' and so then we did. the encounter with this lovely man concluded shortly after that.

i felt royal coming down the stairs onto the dance floor.

on our way to the mall me and andy shared a can of ginger ale, but poured it into champagne glasses. it was elegant.

after the actual dance our limo stopped at the FDR memorial. this was one of the more beautiful experiences of my life. we walked through this maze- like exhibit, which contained more than 5 waterfalls. we found later that the edges of the memorial went right up to the water's edge, where the washington monument and all the lights of downtown were reflected onto the water. we took some pictures there and later split up. andy and i walked down to the water's edge and sat down and just watched . it was so beautiful.

as afterprom (which must be said as one word) was winding down, i started to get a littlle sleepy. as did my fine date. so we lay down on the couch in the corner of the gym as just fell asleep together. this is all (i must admit) i wanted to do all night. just fall asleep with him. this happened at brooke's too, but ended shortly becuase i didnt want to be caught by her mom 'sleeping with' andy.

this has been the longest most wonderful day in a very long time.
