ok, i cant see this, but everyone else can.

i woke up at 5:45am to spend the day with jen at paint branch and find out what mcps is really like.

it was fun.

hahahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. yeah, you thought thats all i was gonna write. yeah well...you suck.

the day was really cool. it was so...absolutely nothing like maret or my maret friends or everything that i'm used to now. it was just so. different. when i'm nervous, i drink a lot of water. i can't even believe that i was there for a whole day. and that it was today. its weird. a little surreal actually. and when the principal was in the video classroom, and i was just sitting in a chair across from her, and she didn't even notice me, i felt like i was a student there. and when the hundreds and hundreds of faces i didn't recognize and will never see again passed me in the hallway, i felt like i was a student there. and when we were sitting in the back of the stat classroom not paying attention and jen threw me a note and i made fun of the girl eating the beefstick*, i felt like i belonged.

it was also really great to see the walkout against war go down. it was yet another thing that would never happen at maret. we are just tooo liberal and right wing to ever have any opposition (MOSTLY. i'm not speaking for every situation all the time). nobody at maret would even get up on a bench and scream into a megaphone and stand out in the rain and the 29 degree wind wearing a tshirt that says "fuck bush" on the back. nobody would stand in the back of a black pickup truck and wave an american flag and hold a sign saying "the war has started, why are you marching?" and sing "bombs over bagdhad" while the crowds are walking past. nobody would back into a strange classroom wearing an army tshirt and say "GO ARMY! YEAH!" and then walk away.

its amazing.

*(beefstick)- yeah, it was the biggest beefstick i've EVER seen. this coming from a person who used to love slim jims. you know those over-sized pixy stix in the straw you get for 25cents from the ice cream truck? it was bigger. than. that. i mean... way to kill, beefy.
