i am so full of carrot cake right now. carrot cake and co op food and pride and desire and awe and happiness and love. but it's probably 85% carrot cake.

i figured it was time to say 'hello' again. yesterday it was 65+ degrees here. i wore shorts and short sleeves and walked around with a fruit smoothie, played catch in north quad without shoes, watched a boy ride his bike around with a sail (it was also incredibly windy), and just loved loved loved. once the weather gets nice, all these people just FLOCK to the sunny parts of campus. they picnic and lie out on blankets and throw frisbees and roll around and take their shoes off and read books and fly kites and smile and talk and climb trees. mostly. i had an interesting tree climbing experience last week. emily, matt, pegah, and i went down to the arb(oretum?) (place with pretty trees and paths for walking around a resevoir). anyway, the objective was to climb a tree. and we did. and i made the executive life choice that i do NOT like climbing trees. well, trees like this one. there was a HUGE muddy puddle underneath it all, and the branches were too far apart and it really just scared me. there are pictures, but you probably won't see them. i'll just be honest. but so it goes.

OH OH!@ OH!##)@ LESS THAN JAKE IS COMING TO CLEVELAND ON APRIL 22ND!!()@#*)*#! and i have tickets. many of them. they're playing at a very small club (probably half or less of 9:30), and it's going to be amazing amazing amazing. i'm already counting down. but actually there are a lot of wonderful things to look forward to before that. beautiful people are potentially coming to visit me here, and it's going to be REALLY hectic, but i'm prepared to deal. i almost can't contain myself.

emily and i officially decided to live together next year, and made the decision to live in a co op. mm co op. so i'm hoping that's going to work out.

and. right now. my contacts are getting foggy, and i have a bunch of reading to do before this party tonight. that's all i really have to say.

i love my life here. i really do. i'm so finally settled and happy. to the max. emily is currently cuddling with her buddy leah right now, and once i walked in on them cuddling in the dark, and i thought they were having sex. it was great. and then they weren't. maybe you had to be there. yeah. yeah. you really did.
