i finallllly got the guts to upload some pictures here. and by guts i mean i got slightly less lazy than i was before. we went to a soccer game at the germantown soccerplex last night, and chloe's team sadly did not win (despite our valiant attempts at heckling with several types of horn). so here are some pictures.

this is the field in the stadium. it's huge. it has lots of grass. the sky was pretty.

i finished fight club today. i loved it and of course i have to say i wish i'd read it before i saw the movie. i want to know if my slightly-less-informed self would have understood the book. probably not. but then i started another amazing book, the mezzanine by nicholson baker. i'm only on page 24 and i think it's downright brilliant.
and...enough.
jen and i played marshmallow softball tonite. well...the abridged version.

UPDATE: nikki just called me from a club in south beach (miami-she's staying with her sister), because they were playing "levantando las manos" in the background. that was our JAM in spain. aww nikki. it's really reassuring to know she is alive. hah. you think i kid, but i don't. i like nikki.
