i am currently at work.

i like saying that because it makes me sound like i have a job. and..stuff to do here. but really..i don't. the woman who is supposed to tell me what to do is on vacation, thusly leaving me with very little to get done. i CAN though punch my 'in' card very effectively. i address envelopes to doctors, file things that need to be filed [in alphabetical order] [i am slow with my alphabet] [damn], dowload music [since my dad is the only one with a non-mac here], search folders for outdated patients [before 1999], and hand out tootsie pops to the kids who are leaving. its pretty rigorous. actually..not. except it must be at the most 40 degrees in here. one would think that some kind of large woodland animal from the other side of the world was going to come into the office and get his eyes checked and if the office wasn't really really cold, like his home, then he would get upset and maybe even see another doctor, which would be bad because at this office we want all the patients we can get...they must of course, be children, because this is a children's ophthalmology place of working and care and love.

which i had for lunch today on a bagel in pumpernickels. it was really excellent. actually better than cream cheese. and i am so proud of that store for now having a [small] vegan menu. it made me smile. not that i am vegan, nor do i eat there ever.

but it's a nice thing to think about.

it is possible that this could make less sense. but right now, i'm certainly feeling it.

has anyone ever heard of the wunder years? the band? because they are so so good and disappeared from the face of everything. this song they have 'superbowl sunday' [which i've probably played / put on a mixtape / written it in away messages for you] might just be one of my favorite songs of all time. that list may be coming out in the near future. i have some thinking to do.
